Tiny amounts of Botox® are expertly injected with a very fine needle – to painlessly freeze the facial muscles that cause lines. After the injection, the muscles will relax and the skin will smooth out over a few days. The result is a safer, more relaxed and pleasing appearance.
A Botox® treatment should normally last for about six months and can be repeated when necessary. Most patients find they require less frequent follow-up sessions over time, as their immobilised muscles 'retrain' and weaken from disuse – thus becoming unable to create or reinforce frown lines.
Botox® treatments are often accompanied with the use of Restylane or Dermal 'fillers', which will 'plump up' the lines between the inactive muscles. Botox® can also be very effective in enhancing the results of the N-Lite laser treatment for natural collagen production – and may be used with glycolic peels.

Before Treatment
Please do not wear make up around the area to be treated. You will need to inform your surgeon: if you are pregnant or breast feeding; suffer from muscle weakness; have any allergies; have any bleeding disorders; or are taking any medications.
After Treatment
You may be asked to hold an ice pack over the treated area for a few minutes. The injected area may appear slightly pink/red for 2-4 hours after treatment. Any swelling will subside within 24-48 hours.
Do not rub the treated area, as this can spread the Botox® into unwanted areas. Keep blinking and frowning – as this will help to fully activate the Botox® in the injected muscle(s). Do not exercise vigorously for 24 hours after the treatment. Do not fly for 24 hours after the treatment.
