Rhinoplasty is an operation designed to re-shape the nose and/or improve nasal breathing.

It is one of the most common cosmetic procedures performed in both men and women with the majority gaining a feeling of increased self confidence following improvement in their body image.

The most common request is to reduce the size and shape of a large nose, but occasionally an increase in the height of the profile is also requested. In most instances the incisions are within the nostrils leaving no visible scars on the outside.

In some patients, particularly when it is necessary to narrow the base of the nose, it may be necessary to make some external incisions though these are usually sited so as to be very difficult to see.
