Dr Enamul Ali graduated from King's College London in 1995. He carried out his oral surgery training at various hospitals and then completed his medical training at the St Bart's and the Royal London Hospital in 2003. He has worked at the London Day Surgery Centre since 2004 and is currently pursuing a career in maxillofacial surgery.
Dr Muntazir Ali is a leading Implantologist who joined the dental team at the London Day Surgery Centre in 2005.
Dr Darshan Boindala graduated in Dentistry in 1999 and has since trained in various Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery posts in the South East of England over a span of 9 years. He completed his medical training at Royal London and St Bartholomews School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008. He has a special interest in Oral Surgery. Currently he is training in Dental Implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons, England. Dr Darshan Boindala is involved in teaching as a lecturer for the post-graduate dentistry exams the MFDS, MJDF and the LDS examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Chloe gained a degree in marketing which she completed at London Metropolitan University. She previously headed up the marketing team at BriteSmile UK and also worked freelance for a year as a PR consultant.
She is currently Rochelle Bass' PA and Office Manager.
Mr Michael Gaukroger is an NHS consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He qualified in dentistry in 1977 at Kings College London and in Medicine in 1985 at Charing Cross Hospital. He trained as a registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the London Hospital then at Kings and St Georges where he was subsequently appointed as Lecturer/ Hon. Senior Registrar. In 1994, Mr Gaukroger was appointed as a Consultant at Chase Farm Hospital and now works at both Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals. Mr Gaukroger provides a wide variety of experience in surgical dentistry with a particular interest is in surgery for dentofacial deformity working closely with local specialist orthodontists.
Shirley McDonnell is our accounts and practice manager and has been part of the team since 2005. Trained and qualified as an accountant working in the West End of London, Shirley decided on a career change and became the practice manager of a local dental practice for two years before joining the London Day Surgery Centre. She has vast experience working in a medical environment and is always on hand to help with enquiries.
Mr Jason Nandlal is an NHS-trained Consultant Podiatric (foot) Surgeon, who has performed more than 4000 foot and ankle procedures. An acknowledged expert in his field, Jason began his training in podiatry at the Plymouth School of Podiatric Medicine. Qualifying in 1985, he undertook fellowship modules in the diabetic foot and rheumatoid foot. In 1987 he began membership exams for the faculty of podiatric surgery. His surgical training was carried out in several centres including Northampton General, The Royal London Hospital and finally Bridge Hospital in Witham, Essex.
On completion of his Fellowship into the Surgical Faculty of The College of Podiatrists, Jason continued to work for Maldon and South Chelmsford Trust, becoming a Specialist in Podiatric Surgery after three years. After a further five years he was appointed a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. Jason continues to work as a Consultant in two NHS Trusts in Essex and is a primary peer reviewer for other consultant podiatric surgeons and a surgical tutor.
Dr Robin Ratcliffe qualified as a dentist with distinction from the London Hospital Dental Institute in 2003, with a portion of his education and research undertaken at Helsinki University Dental Institute, Finland. He completed his Periodontology postgraduate training in 2007.
Robin provides a full range of periodontal dentistry; from the non-surgical and surgical management of gum disease, advanced bone and gum regeneration treatments and comprehensive planning for patients whose mouths have been severely damaged by gum disease.
Dr Barry Sims qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1992. He has always had a special interest in Oral Surgery, and in 1999 embarked on a 2 year advanced course in the restorative and surgical aspects of Implant Dentistry at the University of Sheffield.
Having treated patients with Implant Therapy for five years, both in North London, and in Wimpole Street, Central London, Dr Sims decided to further his knowledge by undertaking a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology, which he completed in 2008.
Dr Sims welcomes referrals for all aspects of Implant Dentistry, from simple single implant cases, to more complicated multi-unit treatments.
After graduating from the University of Dundee and working for a number of years in general dental practice, Dr William Scott obtained an MSc in restorative dentistry and completed a two year M Clin Dent in Endodontics. As a result he is well versed in all major endodontics treatments and surgical techniques. This particular branch of dentistry is concerned with the human dental pulp (the soft tissue between the tooth's outer enamel and the dentin) and periradicular tissues - including the prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions.
Dr William Westphal qualified from Guy's Hospital in 2001. With a special interest in oral surgery he developed his skill and knowledge undertaking numerous oral and maxillofacial surgery hospital posts, and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004. He also has experience from general practice and joined the London Day Surgery Centre in 2010.
Gemma Koster, Veronika Clark, Jana Zieglerova and Cristina Crihana-Popovici are trained dental nurses.
